2013 - present

Flat is a reductionist look into the seemingly arbitrary and sometimes complex arrangement of the functional shapes, structures, lines, and objects that have been built by architects and engineers to serve the specific functions of urban communities. Through a spatial compression of these utilitarian scenes and their surroundings, Jing Wen tries to reframe their mundane elements as a new aesthetic through his exploration of these places.
